Is there a way to apply for your wife at the foreign consulate directly for the GC, so when she arrives here at the airport she can get her passport stamped with the GC rightaway, it may take a little longer than the K3 but is it feasible?

Guys, Can anyone please answer the following question: Why everybody apply for his/her spouse for a K3 visa, then you have to go through of a few months of delay. then he/she comes here and has to apply for I-485 which takes more time, why can't we start everything at the consulate overseas...

Guys I am confused here, isn't the K3 visa is for a fiancee not a wife??? If you go back to your country, do they have all the forms at the consulate to start the process from there or it is easier to start it from the US. Your answers will be greatly appreciated.

I am in Queens NY, My timeline is PD: Sep 13 2002 FP: Oct 29 2002 Haven't heard anything yet about the onterview. The case Status online still shows 240-300 days and I am at 325 now. Can people please share their timelines if they timeline is similar, thanks.
