My father, who gets his pension from Govt. Of India (deposited into a bank in India), is thinking of becoming US citizen. Could some one comment/share their experience:
1. Does canceling the Indian Passporrt, in a consulate in US, updates the records in India (e.g pension office in Delhi...
It says 4 in the instructions. The application is to be submitted in duplicate. There is a place on the application to paste a photo. So my question is:
2 photos pasted + 2 more = 4 (or)
2 photos pasted + 4 more = 6
I am in the Indian Consulate New York Jurisdiction

Applied: June end, 2003 ( 90 days short of 5 years)
FP: Early Aug. 2003
Interview letter received: Late March 2004
Interview and Oath: May 24, 2004
Applied for passport: Same day
