received the green card
I received my green card in mail today. It has an expiration date or March 2015. Does that mean I don't have to renew it every year or so. I don't know why, but I thought green card is something that had to be renewed every year or two. Can anybody shed any light in this...
card ordered
Message changed for me and my spouse to "On March 24, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."
PP stamp date was around October 13, 2004.
I have been a silient visitor for a long time. Finally 485 has been approved for me and my spouse.
RD: 10-15-02

RFE received by USCIS: 9-07-04
AD: 09-14-04 (status changed online) :)

I haven't seen the receipt notice or the approval notice, but my attorney and HR folks told me that my I-140 was filed on 5/13/02 and was approved on 9/7/02.
Can I file both EAD and AP on my own
1 - My company is about to file I485 for me. But due to budget cuts they are not filing AP and EAD for me. Can I file it on my own?
2 - I saw in the EAD form that I can either file it when filing 485 or submit the 485 receipt notice. Since I am not...

Your child can get help from the US government as she is a US Citizen. I know a couple who is on F1/F2, but they are getting Public Aid for their US Citizen Child.
This is just my opinion on this case, you may want to consult a lawyer.
No, it\'s a total of 3.5 months to get approved
At the present rate it takes about 3.5 months to get the approval from Chicago DOL. They are just lazy in entering our cases in their system. My DOT code is also different from what it was initially at IL state. Check the salary. If the salary...
I think you are right
that there is no difference between updating, or for that matter approving, eb2 or eb3. I think they are just slow updating their system when it comes to entering the new cases. I haven\'t seen any approvals lately too. I do not know what is going on?

My case was sent from IL SESA on 01/09/02
and it just appeared on Chicago DOL system today with RD of 1/11/02. So you are right, it is taking almost two months for it to just appear on their system. I certainly hope that it gets certified in next month and a half.

It\'s taking more than a month and a half for them to update it in their system. I saw a case from my company received in regional office on 12/10/2001. It just should up in the system today. So all we can do is just be patient. They are very slow in updating their system.
No
But, DOL is a little slow in updating their system. I think now they have entered cases they recevied on or around 12/17/01. So even if my case was tranfered to DOL on January 9th, it would not show up on their system till later this month. I\'ll put a new note on this thread once I see my...
Received Acknowledgement
I just got a copy from HR about my Receipt notice from IL Dept of Employement Security. My case was mailed sometime in the middle of October 2001. The acknowledgement letter dated 1/9/2002 says that my PD is 10/26/2001. From what people have been saying in this board, I...
Which one?
If I remember correctly, there were some folks here that had sent their case to IL SESA around end of June and the Chicago DOL received it on or around 1st week of November. I am pretty sure your case didn\'t reach DOL before October. Maybe this will eliminate some cases. And also as...

DOL Received date
Bapa,
This is the date your case was tranfered to Chicago DOL. In other words, this is the date DOL received your application from SESA.
Can you tell me when your case was filed with IL SESA, if you were in IL SESA? Thanks
