Just wanted to see how many other new citizens took advantage of their responsibility to vote today!
I have never voted in any election; I was too young in Canada and became a USC in my mid-thirties a few months ago. It was a pretty straightforward process, took about an hour.
My oath ceremony was originally July 16th; I had to reschedule due to a family wedding out of town. I sent in my request to reschedule on July 3rd and my DO received it on July 5th. Today, I got this emailed status update:
I was hoping I would have gotten a descheduled or rescheduled...
