Hi Guys after a long time wanted to update you guys about Houston processing times. I completed my interview on July 28th and My oath is scheduled for August 26th. Cant wait. Congrats everyone.

Completed my FP on 04/06 now its long wait before I get interview notice. I guess it sucks for folks filing in Houston. Good luck everyone.

I mailed my application on March 20th checks cashed 27th and received an email on 3/2 that my application has been accepted. My local office is in Houston. It looks like it will take at-least 8 months from start to finish. Anybody from Houston?

Just to let u guys know I am still waiting for my interview letter... I will be traveling to Caribbean next month on AP keeping my fingers crossed.

@maraL congrats. I got my EAD card along with advance parole on the same card.

Did u ever recieve anything in the mail before from USCIS? If not then there is a real problem with your address info that is with USCIS.

You can always mail I-765 later however you need to make sure that you check the box saying that you have filed I-485 so that you dont have to pay the fees for I-765. Also when they accept your application it doesnt mean you wont get any RFEs. They will only do a cursory check initially to...

@Noella: How big of a deal it is to take originals for all applications compared to a situation where you dont have original when the IO asks..:-P. All the best. Let us know.

Call the USCIS number that is mentioned on your NOAs. When prompted slelect the option "report an error" and that should take you to a rep. You can ask them to expedite your EAD.
