Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

hey Mansarovar, I guess I got a rep that was in an especially good mood; since she told me that she had put our cases on the queue. But she also gave the standard reponse of 'call back in 60 days if you dont hear anything'. She has told you that the case is waiting to be assigned to an officer -...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

I guess they wouldn't really be helpful unless your case was within the current processing dates. The purpose of letting them know that your case is a CC one is to make sure they dont pass it over when they do pick it up thinking visa numbers aren't available; so I guess trying to flag it now...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey gc_buglaria, try calling the TSC and talking to an IO - then ask them to flag your case as being current - they can put it on something called a work distribution queue - which means it will then be picked up by the next available IO that does adjudications.

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey Rania, writing to Congressmen and Senators will only get you a response from the USCIS, which will be the standard 'waiting on the FBI' one. Write to the First Lady's office - they send your letter directly to the FBI. I was stuck in the name check for 15 months before it got cleared the day...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

I would try talking to an Immigration Officer by making an Infopass appointment. Another option would be to have your attorney contact the AILA liason and have them contact USCIS. Also, call your Congressman's office and explain your situation to them - I'm sure they can get some pressure to...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey doji, I have a bad feeling about cross chargeability after y'day's conversation. It seems to me that even if our cases were accepted under cc, the actual case file doesnt really have a big red flag on it that says 'I'm current - process me !', y'know. I guess you could start by calling...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey Still I wrote to the FL's office around the end of July - took about 4 months for the letter to come full circle. Ya, I think it was the 10th, prob just before, of October that I heard from the FBI. And I got a letter from my Senator's office y'day saying my namecheck was cleared on the...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey All, sorry have been out of touch for a while. Navneet, congrats on your approval - it was about time. For everyone considering writing to senators/congressmen etc, I would recommend writing your first letter to the First Lady's office. I've written to everyone - helpful as they are...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey All Something a little scary has happened. About a month ago, my father in law was taken rather seriously ill and my wife needed to go see him as soon as possible. Anyway, we had just applied for our AP renewals and had to wait until they arrived. We put in an expedite request for her on...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Let's hope you're right Mansarovar. I'm quite sure we can sue on our own - the 485 is an individual related application and the employer doesnt really have anything to do with it. I guess it would be better to go with the same lawyer that did the application since they would obviously have all...

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Dont worry about it passcore. My wife is travelling tomorrow and her AP is somewhere in the mail and mine hasn't even been approved yet - good thing I'm not travelling.

Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Hey Mansarovar Yes I've been doing the usual stuff for about 6 months now. I wrote my congressman to begin with - his office was really helpful to the extent that they could be, which, unfortunately, goes as far as contacting USCIS and getting a differently worded response which means the...
