Congratulations knowDOL and no_id
A long wait for you guys... it really was about time. Congrats.
kazaparu, though one of the standard letters, the "additional review" might be a security check by USCIS (not FBI). Some people have received that reply, but I have no idea how long it...
That does NOT sound like a standard response from ombudsman. Typically, they just place a SR and relay the reply from CIS to the applicant who inquires. So they may have felt something wrong about the way CIS has been dealing with your husband's case (really, your waiting is WAY TOO long for no...
So they didn't mention anything about retrogression? Makes me wonder if this wasn't yet another standard reply when they don't know what they are doing/talking about. Then again I've read some cases before where the USCIS checks take longer than the average. Not sure how to interpret this reply...
Basically, yes, it's mandatory. But it doesn't have to be a one at your civil surgeon's, as long as you meet the CDC's recommendation. My case was the latter; I got approved without a skin test at the civil surgeon's, but I had had a test (+ve) and x-ray before here in the U.S. He noted that on...
It sounds like a standard response -- but you may be able to explore it a bit more if your congressmen are willing to help. When we inquired through one of our senators case work office last year, we got a reply mentioning the visa number situation and whether or not a number was allocated to my...
That's so weird. You guys are now permanent residents and they said this? My drivers license renewal is this come August, and I expect to get a 4-year (this is PA here). Post this in the After GC forum, there may be someone who hears about this.
I think that is just a receipt acknowledgment -- saying they have received it but they haven't yet processed the received REF and updated the case.
Now your PD is retrogressed, I'm not sure how things will go. But keep contacting CIS and your congresspersons and ask them to keep you posted...
Congratulations!
Are you from India? If so, I'm especially glad she was in time. If not, I'm glad too :) 4 or 5 months delay is already too much and good thing it's finally over. Enjoy the new life!
Give it some more time
Hi Still, congratulations! Enjoy your freedom :)
It's just a few days now, so I think it's still possible your wife's case has been approved already but the online/email may not reflect that fact. Or her case may be approved soon. Hopefully we don't have to give you...
Welcome back Anya. Hope everything else is going well with you guys and hope this thing will make progress this year.
If your PD is retrogressed, I think there is really no point filing a WOM because they don't have any duty to process your case in retrogression. But if it's current, you don't...
Not necessarily. They can issue REFs anytime they want. Nonetheless, I would take a REF as a good thing. At least it means they are working on your case.
Congratulations!!!
Dude, what a holiday present -- you deserve it, really. As Zgreen said, just relax and wait for your card to arrive. My heartfelt congrats and very best wish for you. Enjoy!
