You bet.
LIN receipt numbers have the following structure: LIN-xx-yyy-5zzzz, where xx denotes the Fiscal year, in your case is FY 2000 so your receipt number must be LIN-00-yyy-5zzzz.
yyy denotes the number...

It is not disabled. I have just sent a private message to myself and evrything worked just fine. Also I have received PM from other people. As explained before this site doen't allow to attach .pdf...
I am not quite sure your message was related to one of my posts.
Anyways, I said that the system is usless for us from the timeframe point of view (or real processing time as you call). However,...
"Transition" is not going to affect processing of our I-485. INS only has to work 10,000 applications and has one whole year to do that. This number is nothing compared to other type of applications....
I don't understand your question.
If after you key the receipt LIN number, you get a response like the one below, you know the application filed is an I-485:
Application Type: I485,...
You are not absolutely sure of that; however, because of the year they were filed (1998) most likely those EB cases in that year have already been processed and there is a pretty good chance that any...
We have gone through this several times, and know that we don't need EAD's as long as we have DL and unrestricted SSC.
Recently the Civil rights Division of the USDOJ has published a document...
That's an opinion which I respect but do not agree with. I believe it is a pesimistic approach.
In my opinion, talking about speed of processing, nothing is going to change for us in the short...
This site provides the same information you get from the AVM, and for an asylee is not accurate because information for "I-485 asylees" is in the same group of information for other type of I-485...
Hi Jack, yes it sounds right. That is all the information they provide. Good luck
Nothing yet Shamshon. I will post any new I receive.
Simple question - simple answer:
Your brother should call NSC at 402-323-7830 and talk to an Immigration Officer. His A number is all they need to check the status of his I-485. He could even ask...
As of 11-1-02 they are processing applications filed on or before 9-30-98. By the end of FY 2003 (9-30-03) the date of the applications they estimate will be processed is February 1, 1999.
I totally agree with you guys.
Thanks Sessanga for posting your experience. Basically, they gave you the same answer you find in the last Processing time report and the timeframe posted in INS website.
But it is interesting to...
Well, there is not much for you to do, other than to continue waiting and have more patience.
Have you called NSC lately to inquire for the status of your case?
And also today, NSC is posting the Processing Time Report for 11-1-02. They say to be processing cases with receipt notice dates on or before 9-30-98.
Attached the last NSC processing time report for 10-15. nothing has changed for us. They are still reporting September 30, 1998 as the date in process.
The IIO did the right thing. We are supposed to get such I-94 when coming back.
Unfortunately, not all the IIO's know the right procedure, and we have heard of different experiences in this forum.
No news so far. INS has not yet announced the cutoff date as of the end of FY 2002. Only the estimate posted in this forum.
It is the code for I-485 applicants which also covers EB, and other types of LPR applications.
