Renewed my US Passport - Do I need to get OCI re-stamped on it?

I'm a US citizen with OCI. I just renewed my US passport.

Is it necessary to get OCI stamped on the new US passport? I do have a valid OCI book.

My son, who is a minor, is also renewing his US passport. He has a OCI book as well. Same question for a minor. Would he need to get OCI re-stamped on the new US passport?

I've searched and I could not find an answer for this question.

Please clarify.

They're not required to ask for the U visa at passport control any longer, and newer OCI issues get no sticker in the passport. Still, carry both passports and go. This is valid for your son as well.

Hi Team,
Need urgent help..

My child (minor - 6yr) recently got new US passport , also have OCI card (revised by Govt Of India) which contains "Life Long" visa with "M" multiple entry , but it still has "OLD US PASSPORT number".
"DO NOT HAVE U VISA STICKER" - for my child old US passport.

we are planning to go to india end of Nov 2017, do not have enough time to reapply new OCI card with new US passport number.

Q1 :- is my child ok to travel with New US passport with OCI card (which still has old US passport number) ?

Q2 :- what other options i have for my child to travel ?

It seems you did not read the previous two posts...

YES, you are OK to travel. Carry both passports and OCI card.
