F4 - Administrative Processing - Immigrant Visa through Brother.

Hi,

I went to an Immigrant Visa interview on August 4th 2015, it lasted less than 10 minutes. The officer handed me a welcome letter, and said i will be contacted when the visa is ready to pick up the passport and the original documents they took from me in the consulate.

It's been two weeks since then, i was not contacted by the consulate, all the contact information provided is accurate, address, phone numbers, and confirmed during the interview too.

I am puzzled at this, because my case is still showing Administrative Processing when i check on the status on the ceac site.

Does the welcome letter i got during the interview count for anything, or is it worthless, it was a copy not a formal letter in an envelope.

This is immigration through a direct family member - brother.
I am also a canadian citizen by naturalization and still hold my birthplace citizenship too.

I have followed up with the consulate and they did not respond to me …all that happened is
another update on the date, on the ceac site where to check the status of the case

Any insight on this is much appreciated... Should i be concerned here ….my passport is still at the consulate.
and so are my other original documents….

I had my interview July 15th at the Montreal consulate and am still waiting. First I was told 2 weeks, then several weeks, then 60 business days, I just called today and was told no time limit can be given because it's case by case basis.

Hi,
I had my Immigrant visa interview today for F4. At the end of interview CO handed over ma a white letter stating that
" Thank you for interviewing at US Embassy Islamabad. You visa has been denied under the provision of us immigration and nationality act.
If you have any questions, you may fax us at xxxxxxxx, or submitting email at http://islamabad.embassy.gov/contact-information/visainquries.html. you may also check on status of your case at https://ceac.state.gov/ceas."

and on the letter CO only tick on

"SECTION 221(g) your case requires additional administrative processing. It is your responsibility to keep Embassy updated if your address or phone number changes. we recommend you contact us every two months to check on the status of your case if you have questions or if you need to update your contact information you should notify us via our online query page at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin.html "

And CO keep my passport and advised me to call us if you don't hear from us with in 4 to 6 weeks.

I want to know what is this am I denied and if yes then why CO hold my passport and what I or petitioner can do now.
