I am looking for people like me that still have some old defunct currency (500 and 1000 notes), so that we can collectively put our voice together to RBI.
I have spoken to an RBI over the phone and I was told that current scheme (valid till June end) is only for Indian passport holders and not for PIO or OCI holders. I did take some rupees to India in February and was confirmed the same by custom official. So, I am stuck with 1k worth defunct notes with no path forward. Please reply here and/or point me to existing forum. Thank you
