Hi, can somebody give the the chances of success of my fiance becoming a U.S. citizen after our marriage? Any advice or tips would be much appreciated.

Here are the facts:
1. Entered lawfully under visitor visa with passport
2. Unlawful status due to staying in country past allowed time under visitor visa. Has been here for 14 yrs continously
3. Mother is U.S. citizen. Sister is U.S. citizen ... both thru marriage.
4. I am a U.S. citizen
5. Fiance obtained Washington driver's license a few years ago, but resides in CA.
6. Has no record of employment, but attended trade school for 2 yrs.
7. Has no criminal record.
8. Worked on and off on cash basis. Financially supported by family for the most part.

If you are citizen and marrying him he/she will get permanent residency (not citizenship) OK.
That plus 1 and 7 are required. The rest are irrelevant.

After 3 years of residency he/she can apply for citizenship.

After our marriage, she will get residency assuming she has no criminal record, entered lawfully (but is currently unlawful status) and marries a U.S. citizen?

And after the 3 yrs of residency, when she applies for citizenship, is there a high chance she will be granted citizenship?

Thanks for your help.

She has three steps to complete: applying for the conditional (2 year) green card ASAP after marriage; applying to get the conditions lifted and get a 10 year green card after 2 years; applying for citizenship after 3 years.

Based on the facts you've provided, each step should have a high chance of success assuming the completion of the previous step and that you folks remain happily married.

That she is out of status is irrelevant if she is doing Adjustment of Status in the US after marriage.
