I just came out of Infopass at Newark field office. I went there to inquire about my I485 application which I filed on September 2014. The reason for delay I found from this meeting was it takes upto 1 year to process the asylum based GC. Has anybody heard or know about this?

Please get the help from your district congress man. Just search google by zip code for "congressman" every congress man has an Ofice that helps with federal agencies like Uscis you fax them authorization form with the number of your case and your question and USCIS will assign an officer to answer the congressman question.
