Just recently became a US citizen. My biological father is listed as my father on my ss card. My adoptive father is listed on my birth certificate.
Now applying for my passport I don’t know which father to use.
Background information:
Biological father:
Lives overseas. I have not been in contact with him in 20 years and I have no way of reaching him. I don’t know his date of birth.
Adoptive Father:
Unfortunately sexually assaulted me when I was a minor. Now I choose to not communicate with him and I want to be free of him on paper as well.
So my dilemma is I want to list my biological father on my passport application but he is not listed on my birth certificate and I don’t know his date of birth.
Which father should I list on my passport?
