Continuous Residency - Medical reason

All,
I got my GC in 2007 and stayed in US visiting India for less than 30 days till 2013. When I was all set to apply for my citizenship I had to move to India for medical issues (Cost reasons mainly). I got a re-entry permit and was in India for 1 year and 9 months. I see that I have broken the continuous residency clause. Can I use medical emergency as a reason and see if I can apply for naturalization. Is there some leeway or is my only option to wait for 4 more years.
I realize lot of people have asked similar questions but I am wondering if medical emergency clause would work. Thanks

You can probably apply 4 years and 1 days after you came back from the last long trip.

What did you do with your house while you were gone for so long?

Thanks Hannah7. I have already marked my calendar for that. I did not own a house. So that part was easy for me.

Miracle's don't exist, my friend. Just cause and effect, and the imperfection of human judgment :)

Unfortunately, you will have to wait for 4 years + 1 day. You CANNOT apply 90 days before this date either.
