My girlfriend and I are filling form I-130 for both of her parents. The problem we are having is question 16, "Has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings?" we checked YES. But we need to know what reason to choose. Should we check Removal or Deportation? And should we explain on a separate paper the reason why they were Removed/Deported? Both of her parents were just let go into Tijuana from the San Ysidro Crossing almost 23 years ago. No fingerprints, photos or any type of information was asked of them. They crossed back into San Diego the next day and her mom did not know she was pregnant and gave birth to my girlfriend in Los Angeles. They left the country unnoticed two months after her birth and never returned. My girlfriend returned to live in Los Angeles, with an uncle, 15 years later. We are trying to be as honest as possible.
