I have not received any update about my interview yet. My status still says Initial Review, FP notice sent.
 
check the trackitt website and see how your case compares with others in your district office.

My DO was Santa Ana and it took over 6 1/2 months to get the interview from the time I filed.
 
Not only 3 days but they can in fact give you same day. I was not in a hurry so I asked for 3rd day as per the itinerary. If you take the itinerary that shows you flying late in the afternoon or the next day, they will give you the passport in I think 3-4 hours. This is for Dallas office.
