I was reading this board long time and now I registered and I am in need of your advice
I have asylum status since January 2014 (approval month)
I was told that by law only 10 000 asylees can get green card per year, also there are about 30 000 asylees applying for green card each year.
Anyone who has experience does it matter for fast processing if your asylum was granted in January? for example in 2015 I will be definitely among first 10 000 applicants who will apply in 2015. Or backlog from previous years will still delay my process?
Also what is average waiting times? I was googling but no success
