My mother lost her U.S. Citizenship certificate a few years back and absolutely has to travel out of country this fall. Is she able to obtain a passport with the N-565 receipt and a letter of verification? Does the letter come with the receipt? And how long does it generally take to receive these? Is there a way to expedite this whole process of replacing her certificate so she is able to get a passport on time? All and any info is welcome!!!
