    Travel with two passports?

Ms. Chang...No...All the country of my second citizenship cares about is how I entered and exit THAT country for THEIR immigration purposes. They only spot check anyway, I for the first time was in that line and it was no big deal. I even joked with her is she sure that she's not creating a mess...

Citizenship option to pick-Perm Resident 5 years or married to US citizen

I have a question bc I am curious. My husband I guess could have applied for the 5 year (5 yr anniversary in August for GC) but he applied based on the marriage to me. It did not matter to us really..but I am curious...In what ways is it 'easier' to go the 5 year route vs the marriage to citizen...

    Travel with two passports?

It is not a problem. I do this all the time. I travel on the US passport and when I arrive into the other country I use that passport and when I leave I use that passport. When I arrive to the US I use the US passport.

Please advise me on this situation and review my personal affidavit.

@Jackolantern etc thanks for responding. We decided to just hold off and not risk the whole long term travelling. Question: During that N400 to Oath period, I see all the above about travelling and the GC holder not making trips too often or lengthy abroad and the USC being in the US...

How to calculate dates on N400

So can I ask..Are you saying that if you originate your travel in the US and return in the US.... you count both of those days as days in the US? I would have thought you counted the day you left the US(ie overnight) as a day towards the 'out of country'....

    Application from Outside the US

Congrats. I have a question. What did the IO ask you about 'Was all your time outside of the US for work for the employer"....What else did he think you were going to say to give you a 'NO NOT OK Answer?"..Like you relocated or something? Just curious about that part of the interview. Perhaps...

N-400 Advice on one of questions

Hi All~ Just saw a grey-ish quesiton for us. On the N-400 it asks if you ever failed to file a required Federal State or Local Tax return. My spouse applied for GC in February 2009 and became a PR in August 2009. Therefore, his first tax return filed as a GC holder was the 2009 year. He had...

Please advise me on this situation and review my personal affidavit.

Sorry to hear about your situation. It is funny what seems completely 'normal' and realistic and even cost effective to us has to raise suspicion on their end. Nothing is ever black and white in life so why would this/circumstances be different when applying. I hope your lawyer can work...

Thank you..How did I luck out...I will check that... Too bad the rules are so difficult at times. My atty once told me 'They don't make rules for the family at heart so you just have to work your life around their rules somehow"... THanks again..
