Will FOIA/PA request for my A-File delay N-400 processing?

I have heard conflicting information on whether the A-File is physically sent to NRC or in electronic format (here's one thread about the issue: http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=186632) Does anyone here know the correct answer?

Will FOIA/PA request for my A-File delay N-400 processing?

Thanks for the reply, ocworker. I just wanted to have the A-File for my records. Figured it would help to have it already if my N-400 gets stuck for name check or whatever. Plus, if I make the request AFTER name check is stuck, won't my A-File have to go from the DO to NRC, potentially...

Will FOIA/PA request for my A-File delay N-400 processing?

I will be filing my N-400 in August, 2007 (yeah, I know it's not for a while... :o ) I am thinking about filing G-639 (Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Request Form) next week for my A-File. From recent posts, it seems that the National Record Center (NRC) is taking around 7 to 12...

    California DMV record

i had requested my DMV record last year by mail using INF1125. i got my record back in the mail in about 2 months. don't remember how long it took for them to cash my check though. you may want to call the DMV 800 number, just to see if they can locate your request.

    Tax transcript form 4506-T

ocworker, on #4, you should put the address that you put on your 2004 return (or whatever your last return was), even if you are not requesting a transcript for that year. IRS uses the address on #4 to locate/validate your record, that's all. as for where to send it, here's the relevant...

    Tax transcript form 4506-T

on #6, i believe you're expected to put down the form number that you used to file your taxes. for example, "1040", "1040NR", "1040EZ", et cetera. for most people, the answer would be "1040". then on #7, you specify for which years you want the return. if you want a transcript of your 2004...

LA Area - Stamping & Plastic Card Tracker

dori, i wouldn't worry too much about it. as my signature indicates, i got my PP stamped on 2004-NOV-16 and already received my plastic card. so the Santa Ana sub-office works reasonably fast these days. once you have done the processing, there's really not much you can do other than waiting...
