Life is beautiful outside the US as well!
Satya Gottumukkala, like many other software professionals was bitten by the "US bug" in the late Nineties. He shares his experience of working in the US and tells India Syndicate why he eventually decided to return and be a...
I've also been through the same situation(working with HR and then HR working with Attorney). Although my attorney wasn't that bad. Neither my company. Most of the time if the companies do it that way is because lawyers sometime start billing the company for any emails(from candidates) they...
Its good to carry them but as pralay mentioned its not mandatory. I carried all except my 1st AP which I couldn't find but they didn't ask for any "even the current one" so don't worry about it.
I got my stamping done yesterday in San Francisco, you won't have any issue with new PP style. Infact I was asked if I have brought the PP style which luckily I had brought. And also there was a notice on the window which said Aug4th and not Sept 1st for the new style to be acceptable.
Good luck
Actually I got Approved on the 20th. The postal mail I got on the 23rd. So yes technically I was approved on the 20th but didn't celebrate until I saw the courtsey copy.

Finally I also boarded the GC bus this morning.

If you're an employment base case then I won't suggest you to use those expenses for tax deduction. Although there's no connection between INS or IRS but you can get into trouble if its proved that you paid for your greencard processing and not the company who sponsored you. I know many...
My personal advice would be to go via the lawyer route. A small mistake could give you many sleepless nights. Although there's no guarantee how good that lawyer you pick would be but check out any Desi newspaper, I'm sure you'll find tons of them.
I filed my 7th year extension and never got the copy from lawyer although they said they sent it. Its partly my fault too that I didn't follow up much assuming they've done it 4 times for me so will do it again, my bad. Now when I called them up again this week asking they said we can't seem to...
They usually do it if there isn't a long line. I went there 4 days in advance(06/16) and the lady there was lil reluctant even though there was not a single person at 2:30 PM. But she eventually let us in saying if you had Aug notice I'd not have allowed you.
Although I've seen threads here...
