I got my stamping done yesterday in San Francisco, you won't have any issue with new PP style. Infact I was asked if I have brought the PP style which luckily I had brought. And also there was a notice on the window which said Aug4th and not Sept 1st for the new style to be acceptable. Good luck

My personal advice would be to go via the lawyer route. A small mistake could give you many sleepless nights. Although there's no guarantee how good that lawyer you pick would be but check out any Desi newspaper, I'm sure you'll find tons of them.
