    How long it takes to get interview date after priority date becomes current

    I agree with that. Although 6 months is the minimum time consumed from PD current to the date of interview,to be realistic you should count an year in the whole actual process. My case has now entered the 10th month (F1 family visa) and it will be another 2 months to the visa I guess.

    Once your PD becomes current,NVC should initiate the process by sending you a letter and from then on till the time of the interview,count on atleast 6 months not less.Correspondence to and from NVC consumes time and if you are outside US it takes even longer.But keep 6 months in persepective...
