    I talked with NC customer service and raised SR on July 11th. Received a letter from them last week stating that background check is open. So far I haven't contacted any congress men or senator. Is it ok to contact them now and wait for sometime.

    I have valid EAD and H1B. My H1B is expired on Dec 07. EAD is expired on Sep 07. I am still in H1B with the same employer for last 8 years.     I am in the similar situation. 485 RD july 2006. I140 approved. Talked to NSC and asked them to raise the SR. Received mail today that my back ground check is not yet completed.

    I did my FP on 11/03/2006 and there is no LUD change so far. Send a enquiry letter through attorney on Feb 28, then LUD changes but so far no reply and no action.
