So, it sounds that paying extra for overnight delivery just to protect naturalization certificate (pending travel is a different matter of course) becomes meaningless? In other words if I pay for overnight delivery then they use it only for passport, but the natz certificate will come first...

They started sending it separately as I gather from this forum. Did you apply expedited or regular. How long did it take from application to receipt of passport? Did you get E-passport? Thank you.

Do I need my natz certificate for DL name change as someone suggested here in another thread? If I read DMV FAQ correctly - DL with previous name + name-change court order should be enough. Please, confirm from your experience. Thank you.

I am guessing that you should not have problems. You would need to tell your new name during the interview and have court document proving the change. I am assuming that your maiden name was listed on your N-400 in the list of other names used. That name should get name-checked regardless.

Actually I think there was a bigger reason for my spouse not to get same day oath. She (and I do too) is changing her middle name. So she could not have attended the same day oath that I think must be an administrative oath ceremony. Those changing their names can only get naturalized on...

I don't know. My spouse did witness the same day oath on 06/28 done for other people. Our guess is that the only reason she did not get to do it because her interview happened quite late in the day. Her appointment was for sometime around 2:00pm but she did not get called up until almost 4:00pm...

My spouse got oath letter in mail today for August 8 oath ceremony in Plano.
