    Hello everyone
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me already. My concern is that I was 14 when my dad applied for his citizenship, somehow, when we received some paper they gave me the same age as my brother. So it ended up taking more time story to get our age fixed. My dad recently took his oath, and he also told me and my siblings that we are citizens too. What I would like to know is that now I am 20, does that mean I can still be a citizen under him as the process started when I was 14 or 15? He told us that we had to go to the court to get our American passport.

    Hello Monica.
I'm Brazilian citizen and have relationships with U.S. citizen for 7 years and we got home in Brazil.
In this whole period, both live traveling between Brazil and the United States with a tourist visa.
Now in 2012 we decided to live in the United States because of his work.
I entered the United States on March 8, 2012, we were married on June 29, 2012, in Texas.
I can not understand if I fill in a form I-539 to change my B1/B2 visa for K1 or if my husband must complete a Form I-130.
My visa expired on September 7, 2012 and with the change of parents, marriage and everything else did not realize the date ending.
My husband thinks it is no problem but I am very scared because I think for the first time in my life, I'm in another country illegally. I need to resolve this as soon as possible.
If you know anything about this issue or know of a site that can help me, I am very grateful.

    Hi Monica,
I posted the following question in Rajiv's blog (More questions on AC21 EAD losing job etc) and he replied that it will be addressed in today's call. I do not see my question in conf call questions thread. Can you please add this (thread closed for me)? I really appreciate your help.

I completing 6yrs on H1-B in Sep-2012 and have I-140 approved. My employer has filed H1-B extension (normal processing) and lawyers expect to have the extension approved by Nov-2012. My employer may be cutting some workforce in next 2-3 months.
    1) If I am let go before H1-B extension is approved, can I join another employer and still get H1-B extension based on I-140 approval from current employer?
    2) Can I change employers now and still get H1-B extension based on I-140 approval from current employer?
    3) If I cannot change employers, can I move internally to a similar role but at a different entity of the same parent employer?

H-1B quota reached for fiscal year 2012 (FY12)

by monica1 on 23rd November 2011 at 12:31 PM
Please note that the H-1B quota has reached for fiscal year 2012 (FY12). Properly filed cases will be considered received on the date that USCIS physically receives the petition; not the date that the petition was postmarked. USCIS will reject cap-subject petitions for new H-1B specialty occupation workers seeking an employment start date in FY 2012 that arrive after Nov. 22, 2011.
