Indian passport with type P

    What does type(category) P means on indian passport.
    Recently i renewed it after 10 years. and they put type P on new passport.
    Not sure what does it means.

    Does anyone have clue..

      Well, with the new uniform passport regulations coming into force all around the world, the P is just the international code for a 'Passport,' so you have nothing to worry about. That's all it is- a passport. Check out Wikipedia's article on passports.

          P means Normal/Regular Indian Passport

            p stand for personal passport ( regular passports )

            S stand for service passport ( government employee passport )

            D stands for diplomatic passport ( government Officials Passports )

            It has nothing to do with your status or anything else its just a passport code
