  • Question about the translator during interview

My sister is the sponsor for our parents for the green card. Now they receive a letter for interview.
My question is, the letter also mentioned translator. Is it true that no family member can be the translator?

Can my sister be the translator? Or my brother-in-law? Or my husband? Is that ok? Or we must find a friend?

    Thanks in advance!

You may serve as translator for your parents - I did that for my mother's interview. There was no problem.
