Rajiv ji, my parents are visiting from India on a tourist (Visitor’s visa). They entered USA in November and received a stay of 6 months. In the fifth month we applied for an extension of their stay. I have the following doubts:

1. Can they stay in USA? Till when?
2. Will the extension request affect future entries or visa extensions?
3. How soon can they come back again?

I entered USA on a B-1 to gather specs from our US client on a project my company is working on in India. I received a stay of only three months, which expires in 22 days. Can I get an extension of the B-1? Should I change to H-1 through our branch in USA?
